David Redfern

In September 2024, David Redfern was appointed Head of US Aggregates & Construction Materials (ACM) in addition to his role as Country CEO of Eastern Canada. As a strong business leader, he now oversees an organization in the United States of more than 4,000 employees across all product lines including aggregates, concrete, asphalt and contracting.

Since joining Holcim in 2000, David has held leadership roles in Canada and for Holcim with responsibility across the construction materials business, including aggregates, ready mix, asphalt, marine and construction. During his tenure with Holcim, he had commercial oversight of an aggregate product line with operations in 22 countries. As head of the Western Canada Aggregate Performance Group, David had strategic and capital oversight for the aggregate business and Land Assets division, creating the Greater Vancouver Infrastructure Group and the Aggregate Logistics Operating model. As CEO of Eastern Canada, he expanded the product offering to include high performance concrete and asphalt through bolt-on acquisitions and joined the Cement Association of Canada as chairman of the board.

David received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Queen’s University in Ontario, with further education from INSEAD and the University of Toronto.
